Oberon Women’s Golf was for the truly tough today! With rain forecast to come in around midday, a good field of 12 ladies teed off soon after 9am. They were all hoping that they could finish the 18 holes before the rain set in. However, the rain was absolutely on time and in combination with the very low temperatures, conditions were extremely unpleasant. Only two ladies showed enough resilience and commitment to finish the course. Sue Webb was declared the winner of the Pat Arrow Trophy, doing what some suggested was a “Stephen Bradbury”, being the last one standing in the three week competition!
