The Oberon LGA lockdown was lifted this morning. The area has had no Covid-19 cases recorded in the last 14 days. In fact, Oberon has not recorded a case of coronavirus at all, which is testament to the way the majority of residents have responsibly behaved during the pandemic. Locals have enthusiastically embraced the lifting of restrictions, visiting the cafes and the other dining venues. The dining room at the Royal Hotel was booked out for Saturday night within hours of the lockdown being lifted.

Vaccination rates are high in the Oberon LGA. The message that “vaccination is the only way out of this pandemic”, is obviously being accepted by the majority. Local residents are encouraged to continue to abide by the rules, which thus far, have kept us all safe.
