Lane Cove Community Band – Turrumburra

The Lane Cove Community Bands were formed in 1963, not quite the 140 years of the Bathurst City and RSL Band, but a wonderful organisation of adult brass, woodwind and percussion players who love the community spirit of making music together.

One of the seven bands in the organisation is the Turrumburra Band, led by the effervescent Megan Lipworth. They’re taking a weekend out from the city to travel to Oberon for a mini-break tour, and will be coming to the Malachi for the afternoon on the last weekend of October.

Megan and Turrumburra will play an afternoon concert on Saturday 31 October at 3pm, and we’d love to give them an audience to perform to.

This type of concert is thoroughly enjoyable and uplifting, and with just $10 entry at the door, come spend a sweet afternoon with this visiting band.
